 The wizard of odd

The Playground children had lots to say about the City Council Local Plan to turn their playing field into light industrial units. We hopefully found a way for them to express their fears in a fun and creative way.

Fruit ’n' Veg Art

Dean, “The Art Wizard” spent a couple of days on half-term Playscheme. Unfortunately, he forgot to bring his paint set because he’d been shopping for his mum.

“Never mind”, said Dean, “Let’s make something with our imaginations and the shopping!”

So, this is what the children on Playscheme created.

This is learning through play, creating something wonderful and taking pride in the achievement. Acquiring skills and knowledge without any work, just having fun!

Our Skull Vehicle

From drawings, to a welded frame, covered in recycled tape then brought to life with stop-frame animation.

Metal Fence Sculptures

Starting with drawings, loads of donated scrap metal parts, some rubber gloves and a bit of imagination. As you can see there were lots of designs and we had to decide which design to get permanently welded. Every child involved was proud to have their design recreated and installed on the fence.
